How-To disable Battery Optimization for SKEDit in your device

Note: For Chinese devices, Auto Start is disabled by default for all applications, and this prevents SKEDit from delivering the message successfully. To learn how to enable Auto Strat for SKEDit, see "How to Set Up SKEDit Settings on your Android Device".

Battery optimization was introduced into Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above and it limits what apps can do in the background. For instance, if Battery Optimization is ON, Android will automatically turn off Accessibility for SKEDit, causing automation of scheduled messages to fail.

Make sure SKEDit is not running on an SD card

If SKEDit is running on an SD card (external storage), it means it's "unavailable" when the system boots, which can turn off accessibility. Please, move SKEDit back to the main storage.

Turn OFF Battery Optimization for SKEDit on your device

To disable Battery Optimization for SKEDit, follow the steps below for your device.

Samsung

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Applications
3. Tap three dot menu (top right corner)
4. Tap Special Access
5. Tap Optimize Battery usage
6. Tap Apps not optimized
7. On the Optimize Battery Usage screen, switch to the All apps list from the drop-down menu
8. Find SKEDit and turn it OFF

Google Pixel

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Apps & notifications /Advanced / Special app access / Battery optimization
3. Find SKEDit App and select Not optimized

Huawei

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Apps
3. Tap Advanced (at the bottom)
4. Tap Ignore optimizations
5. Select All apps
6. Find SKEDit on the list and set to Allow

For Huawei P30 or P30 Pro:

1. Please go to your phone settings
2. Tap Battery
3. Tap App launch
4. Find SKEDit
5. Toggle Manage automatically to Manage manually
6. On the pop-up screen, toggle ON:

• Auto-launch
• Secondary Launch
• Run in background

Xiaomi

1. Go to Settings 
2. Tap Battery & Performance
3. Tap Manage apps battery usage
4. Tap Choose apps
5. Tap Installed apps and choose SKEDit
6. Tap No restrictions
7. Go to settings
8. Tap on Battery
9. Turn Battery saver OFF

Note: When your Xiaomi reaches a low Battery level, the battery saver 
mode automatically starts and ignores the battery optimization setting 
you've chosen previously, so steps 8, 9 and 10 are advisable.

Sony

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap Battery
3. Tap the (...) menu in the top right corner and press Battery Optimization
4. Tap Apps
5. Tap SKEDit

LG

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Battery & power saving
3. Tap Battery usage
4. Tap Ignore optimizations
5. Turn ON to ignore battery optimization for SKEDit.

One Plus

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Battery
3. Tap Battery optimization
4. Switch to the All apps list (top menu)
5. Select SKEDit and choose Don’t optimize 

Motorola

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Battery
3. Tap the menu in the top right corner
4. Tap Battery optimization
5. Tap Not optimized
6. Select All Apps
7. Find SKEDit on this list and Select Don’t Optimize
8. Go back to your phone settings
9. Select Battery
10. Turn Battery Saver Mode OFF

Note: When your Motorola reaches a low Battery level, the battery saver 
mode automatically starts and ignores the battery optimization setting 
you've chosen previously, so steps 8, 9 and 10 are advisable.

BLU

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Battery Settings
3. Tap the "three dots" menu on the right of the screen
4. Tap Battery Optimization
5. Find SKEDit and set it to: NOT Optimize

Oppo

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Battery
3. Switch "Power Saving" OFF
4. Tap SKEDit and turn OFF 'Background Freeze', 'Abnormal Apps Optimization', and 'Doze' features
