Personalize Messages with Placeholders in SKEDit
Placeholders help your messages feel more personalized, natural, and tailored to each recipient.
Whether you're sending marketing campaigns, business updates, or reminders, placeholders allow you to create dynamic messages that automatically adapt — without manual effort.
🔹 What Are Placeholders?
Placeholders are dynamic variables that automatically update when the message is sent.
Instead of rewriting messages for each contact, you can create one template and let SKEDit personalize it for every recipient.
⚙️ Step 1: Access the Placeholder Menu
• Open the SKEDit app
• Navigate to your preferred scheduling channel:
• WhatsApp / WhatsApp Business
• Telegram
• Messenger
• Instagram
• Navigate to the SKEDit scheduling screen (message composition screen)
• Tap the ➡️ { } ⬅️ placeholder icon inside the message field.
✍️ Step 2: Insert Placeholders
• Tap the ➡️ { } ⬅️ icon
• Select a placeholder from the list
• It will be inserted at your cursor position
Available Placeholders:
• Full Name: @recipient_name
• First Name: @recipient_firstname
• Last Name: @recipient_lastname
• Day of the Week: @current_dayoftheweek
• Date: @current_date
• Time: @current_time
• Date & Time: @current_date_time
Tip: You can use multiple placeholders within a single message.
🚀 Step 3: Schedule & Send
• Complete your message using placeholders
• Set your desired date and time
• Tap Schedule
At send time, SKEDit automatically replaces placeholders with real data.
Example:
Hi @recipient_firstname, your appointment is on @current_date
Becomes: Hi John, your appointment is on March 25
💡 Best Practices
• Keep it natural: Ensure your message reads smoothly after placeholders are replaced
• Avoid overuse: Too many placeholders can make messages feel robotic
• Test before sending: Send a test message to confirm everything appears correctly
🎯 Why Use Placeholders?
• Save time with reusable templates
• Personalize messages at scale
• Increase engagement and response rates
• Maintain consistent communication
Using placeholders in SKEDit helps you automate messaging while keeping it personal — a key advantage for both productivity and marketing performance.
