Ask Me Before Sending: Setup Guide
Ask Me Before Sending simplifies scheduling messages — no screen lock information is required.
What Is "Ask Me Before Sending"?
Ask Me Before Sending lets you schedule messages without providing SKEDit with your screen lock information, disabling your screen lock, or enabling Smart Lock. You simply turn this option on, and at the scheduled time SKEDit sends you a notification.
All you need to do is unlock your device screen manually and tap the Send button on the notification. As soon as you tap Send, the automation is triggered and the sending process begins.
Your Four Options When Scheduling
When scheduling a message in SKEDit, you must choose one of the following options to allow the message to be sent:
Turn On the Toggle
To enable Ask Me Before Sending for a specific scheduled message, scroll to the bottom of the scheduling screen and turn on the Ask Me Before Sending toggle.
The toggle is set per scheduled message, so you can mix manual-confirmation messages with regular automatic ones.
Confirm the Send via Notification
When the feature is enabled, at the scheduled time SKEDit will send a notification to your device. You simply tap Send on the notification, and the automation will take over from there.
How to Avoid Send Failures
At the scheduled time, your device will receive a notification from SKEDit. If you open the notification panel and tap "Send" without first unlocking your device, the scheduled message will fail to send.
