How to Create a WhatsApp Scheduled Message for Contacts & Groups
This guide explains how to create a WhatsApp scheduled message for contacts and groups using SKEDit, from selecting the scheduling channel to setting the date and time.
1. Open the WhatsApp Scheduling Channel
Tap the (+) button available on the SKEDit home screen.
Then select either WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. You will be redirected to the SKEDit scheduling screen.
2. Select the Schedule Type
On the scheduling screen, tap the Schedule Type dropdown and select Contacts / Groups.
This option allows you to send the scheduled message to individual contacts or WhatsApp groups.
3. Add the Recipients
Tap the (+) button next to Recipients to choose how to add the message recipients.
You can choose from the following options:
- WhatsApp: select contacts or groups directly from WhatsApp
- Phonebook: choose contacts from your phone's address book
- SKEDit Lists: use custom lists you created inside SKEDit
- Upload CSV: import recipients from a CSV file
- Enter Manually: manually type in the recipient details
4. Compose Your Message
Add an optional Title to identify the schedule and type the content of your message in the Message field.
You can also enable Multiple messages if you want to send more than one message within the same schedule.
Use the icons next to the message field to insert custom placeholders, templates, and location if needed.
5. Schedule the Message
Scroll down to the Schedule section and set the following options:
- Date: select the date you want to send the message
- Time: choose the exact time for sending
- Repeat: set whether the message should repeat (daily, weekly, monthly, or no repeat)
You can also use Check time conflict and View Schedule Summary to review other scheduled messages in the same time frame.
If you prefer, enable Ask me before sending to receive a notification at the scheduled time, allowing you to confirm sending manually.
When everything is ready, tap Schedule to complete the scheduling.
