How to Set Up SKEDit on Your Android Device for Most Android Brands

This guide outlines the required settings for each supported device. Make sure to complete all relevant setup steps for your device before scheduling your first message.

Check your requirements first: Open the SKEDit scheduling screen and tap the red triangle (⚠) in the top-right corner. This checklist shows exactly which settings still need attention on your specific device. Do not schedule any messages until the red triangle disappears.
Grouped settings: Some brands follow the exact same setup flow. To keep this guide easier to maintain and less repetitive, they are grouped together where applicable.
Covered device groups in this guide:
Samsung-based: Samsung, Google Pixel, Motorola, Realme
MIUI-based: Poco, Xiaomi, Redmi
Tecno-based: Tecno, Infinix

SKEDit Settings for Samsung

Also applies to: Google Pixel, Motorola, and Realme.

1. Enable Accessibility

  1. From the SKEDit scheduling screen, tap the red triangle located at the upper right corner.
  2. Tap the blue button where it is written Enable Accessibility.
  3. In the Accessibility screen, scroll down and tap Installed Apps / Services.
  4. Search for SKEDit and select it.
  5. Enable the SKEDit toggle.
  6. Tap Allow on the confirmation prompt.

2. Disable Battery Optimization

  1. Tap Disable battery optimization.
  2. Tap Allow to stop optimizing battery usage for SKEDit.

3. Activate Multiple Contact Selection

  1. In the requirements screen, tap on Enable Appear on Top.
  2. You will be redirected to Appear on Top settings.
  3. Search for SKEDit and enable Appear on Top for SKEDit.

4. Bypass Screen-Lock

  1. You have 3 options: Provide Pin or Password - Enable Smart-Lock - Disable Screen-Lock.
  2. Provide Pin or Password: If you wish to provide SKEDit with your screen lock information, so SKEDit can automatically unlock your device at the scheduled time, tap Provide Pin or Password and add your screen lock information. SKEDit only supports PIN code or Passcode. If you have Pattern unlock or Fingerprint unlock, please disable them and keep only the supported screen lock types.
  3. Enable Smart-Lock: Activate Smart-Lock / Extended Lock. Please note, Smart-Lock remains activated for only 4 hours at a time and must be reactivated after 4 hours.
  4. Disable Screen-Lock: Remove your screen lock by setting it to Swipe or None.

5. Enable Notification

  1. In the SKEDit requirements screen, scroll down to the last required settings and tap on Enable Notifications.
  2. You will be redirected to the notification screen, and you must enable notifications for SKEDit.

SKEDit Settings for Google Pixel

Google Pixel devices follow the exact same setup steps listed under Samsung.

SKEDit Settings for Motorola

Motorola devices follow the exact same setup steps listed under Samsung.

SKEDit Settings for Realme

Realme devices follow the exact same setup steps listed under Samsung.

SKEDit Settings for Poco

Also applies to: Xiaomi and Redmi.

1. Enable Auto-Start

  • In the scheduling screen, tap the red triangle located at the upper right corner.
  • Once redirected to the SKEDit requirements screen, the first required setting is Auto-Start.
  • Tap the blue required settings button Enable Auto-Start.
  • You will be redirected to the device Auto-Start settings.
  • Search for SKEDit.
  • Enable Auto-Start for SKEDit.

2. Enable Accessibility

  • In Chinese devices, Accessibility is the second required setting in the requirements screen, so scroll down a bit until the Accessibility required setting is visible.
  • Tap the blue button for Enable Accessibility.
  • You will be redirected to the Poco device Accessibility settings screen.
  • In the Accessibility screen, tap Downloaded Apps.
  • Search for SKEDit and select it.
  • Enable the Use SKEDit toggle.
  • A Danger pop-up message will appear on screen for you to assume risks for granting this permission.
  • The accessibility service will be used only during the sending process and is a necessary setting for automation.
  • In the pop-up message, check the I am aware... checkbox and tap OK.

3. Other Permissions

  • Tap on Enable.
  • You will be redirected to SKEDit Other Permissions.
  • Always allow these 3 settings only:
    • Display pop-up windows
    • Open new windows while running in the background
    • Show in Lock screen

4. Disable Battery Saver

  • In the SKEDit requirement screen, tap on Disable Battery Saver.
  • You will be redirected to the Battery usage details settings screen.
  • Tap No Restrictions.

5. Multiple Contact Selection

  • Tap on Enable Display Over Other Apps.
  • You will be redirected to the Display Over Other Apps settings screen.
  • Search for SKEDit.
  • Enable Display Over Other Apps for SKEDit.

6. Bypass Screen-Lock

  • You have 3 options: Provide Pin or Password - Enable Smart-Lock - Disable Screen-Lock.
  • Provide Pin or Password: If you wish to provide SKEDit with your screen lock information so SKEDit can automatically unlock your device at the scheduled time, tap Provide Pin or Password and add your screen lock information. SKEDit only supports PIN code or Passcode. If you have Pattern unlock or Fingerprint unlock, disable them and keep only the supported types of screen lock.
  • Enable Smart-Lock: Activate Smart-Lock / Extended Lock. Smart-Lock remains activated for only 4 hours at a time and must be reactivated after 4 hours.
  • Disable Screen-Lock: Remove your screen lock by setting it to Swipe or None.

7. Notification

  • Tap on Enable Notification for SKEDit.
  • You will be redirected to the SKEDit Notification Screen.
  • Enable Show notification.

SKEDit Settings for Xiaomi

Xiaomi devices follow the exact same setup steps listed under Poco.

SKEDit Settings for Redmi

Redmi devices follow the exact same setup steps listed under Poco.

SKEDit Settings for Oppo

1. Enable Accessibility

  • Tap the blue button for Enable Accessibility and you will be redirected to the Oppo device Accessibility settings screen.
  • In the Accessibility screen, tap on Downloaded Apps.
  • Search for SKEDit and select it.
  • Enable the Use SKEDit toggle.

2. Enable Background Activity + Auto-launch

  • Tap the blue button for Enable Background Activity + Auto-launch.
  • Tap on Battery Usage in the app info screen.
  • Enable Allow Background Activity.

3. Multiple Contact Selection

  • Tap on Enable Display Over Other Apps.
  • You will be redirected to the Display Over Other Apps settings screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable Display Over Other Apps for SKEDit.

4. Bypass Screen-Lock

  • You have 3 options: Provide Pin or Password - Enable Smart-Lock - Disable Screen-Lock.
  • Provide Pin or Password: If you wish to provide SKEDit with your screen lock information, so SKEDit can automatically unlock your device at the scheduled time, tap Provide Pin or Password and add your screen lock information. SKEDit Settings for Huawei

Important note: Since Huawei devices lost access to the Google Play Store in 2019, only older models can still download SKEDit from the Play Store, for example Huawei Y9 Prime. These devices are not recommended, as they may lead to reliability issues.

1. Enable Accessibility

  • Tap the blue button for Enable Accessibility and you will be redirected to the Huawei accessibility screen.
  • In the Accessibility screen, scroll down to Installed Services.
  • Search for SKEDit and select it.
  • Enable the SKEDit toggle.
  • In the pop-up message, tap OK.

2. Run in Background

  • Tap on Disable Battery Optimization.
  • Tap on Allow.

3. Activate Multiple Contact Selection

  • Tap on Enable Appear on Top.
  • You will be redirected to Draw over other apps.
  • Search for SKEDit.
  • Enable the toggle for SKEDit to Draw over other apps.

4. Bypass Screen-Lock

  1. You have 3 options: Provide Pin or Password - Enable Smart-Lock - Disable Screen-Lock.
  2. Provide Pin or Password: If you wish to provide SKEDit with your screen lock information, so SKEDit can automatically unlock your device at the scheduled time, tap Provide Pin or Password and add your screen lock information. SKEDit only supports PIN code or Passcode. If you have Pattern unlock or Fingerprint unlock, please disable them and keep only the supported types of screen lock.
  3. Enable Smart-Lock: Activate Smart-Lock / Extended Lock. Smart-Lock remains activated for only 4 hours at a time and must be reactivated after 4 hours.
  4. Disable Screen-Lock: Remove your screen lock by setting it to Swipe or None.

5. Enable Notification

  1. In the SKEDit requirements screen, scroll down to the last required settings and tap on Enable Notifications.
  2. You will be redirected to the App notification screen, and you must enable notifications for SKEDit.

SKEDit Settings for Tecno

Also applies mostly to: Infinix. Infinix has one extra lock screen overlay setting shown in its dedicated section below.

1. Enable App Launch

  • Tap on Enable.
  • You will be redirected to the App Launch screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable App Launch for SKEDit.

2. Accessibility

  • Tap on Enable Accessibility.
  • You will be redirected to the accessibility screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable Accessibility for SKEDit.

3. Run in Background

  • Tap on Disable Battery Optimization.
  • Tap on Allow.

4. Power Saving Management

  • Tap on the blue button Set.
  • You will be redirected to Power Saving Management for Apps.
  • Search for SKEDit and set it to No Restrictions.

5. Multiple Contact Selection

  • Tap on Enable Display Over Other Apps.
  • You will be redirected to the Display Over Other Apps settings screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable Display Over Other Apps for SKEDit.

6. Bypass Screen-Lock

  • You have 3 options: Provide Pin or Password - Enable Smart-Lock - Disable Screen-Lock.
  • Provide Pin or Password: If you wish to provide SKEDit with your screen lock information, so SKEDit can automatically unlock your device at the scheduled time, tap on Provide Pin or Password and add your screen lock information. SKEDit only supports PIN code or Passcode. If you have Pattern unlock or Fingerprint unlock, please disable them and keep only the supported types of screen lock.
  • Enable Smart-Lock: Activate Smart-Lock / Extended Lock. Smart-Lock remains activated for only 4 hours at a time and must be reactivated after 4 hours.
  • Disable Screen-Lock: Remove your screen lock by setting it to Swipe or None.

7. Display an Overlay on Lock Screen

  • We could not create a redirection to this setting.
  • During the sending process, you will be prompted to allow SKEDit to Display Overlay on the Lock Screen.
  • You must grant this permission, because it is crucial for SKEDit automation to run successfully without any issues.

8. Notification

  • Tap on Enable Notification for SKEDit.
  • You will be redirected to the SKEDit Notification Screen.
  • Enable Allow notification.

SKEDit Settings for Infinix

Infinix devices follow almost the same steps as Tecno, with one dedicated lock screen overlay setting.

1. Enable App Launch

  • Tap on Enable.
  • You will be redirected to the App Launch screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable App Launch for SKEDit.

2. Accessibility

  • Tap on Enable Accessibility.
  • You will be redirected to the accessibility screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable Accessibility for SKEDit.

3. Run in Background

  • Tap on Disable Battery Optimization.
  • Tap on Allow.

4. Power Saving Management

  • Tap on the blue button Set.
  • You will be redirected to Power Saving Management for Apps.
  • Search for SKEDit and set it to No Restrictions.

5. Activate Multiple Contact Selection

  • Tap on Enable Display Over Other Apps.
  • You will be redirected to the Display Over Other Apps settings screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable Display Over Other Apps for SKEDit.

6. Bypass Screen-Lock

  • You have 3 options: Provide Pin or Password - Enable Smart-Lock - Disable Screen-Lock.

  • Tap on Enable.
  • You will be redirected to the Lock Screen Overlay screen.
  • Search for SKEDit and enable Lock Screen Overlay for SKEDit.

8. Notification

  • Tap on Enable Notification for SKEDit.
  • You will be redirected to the SKEDit Notification Screen.
  • Enable Allow notification.
