Subscription Didn't Renew? Update Your Payment Method
If your card expired or ran out of credit, update your payment method in Google Play to renew your SKEDit Pro or Max subscription.
Why Your Subscription Didn't Renew
SKEDit Pro and Max are billed through Google Play. If the card on your Google account has expired or does not have enough credit, Google Play cannot charge the renewal.
SKEDit keeps working for a short grace period while Google Play tries again: usually 7 days for monthly plans and 14 days for yearly plans. If the payment is still not fixed, Google Play puts the subscription on hold: paid features stop, and scheduled messages over the Free plan limits are paused until you fix the payment.
Two Common Causes
The card's expiration date has passed and Google Play cannot use it for the renewal charge.
The card does not have enough available balance or credit to cover the subscription fee.
Open Your Subscriptions in Google Play
Open the Google Play Store app with the Google account you used to buy SKEDit. Tap your profile picture at the top right, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. On a computer, use the link below.
Select Your SKEDit Subscription
Tap your SKEDit subscription: SKEDit Pro or SKEDit Max, monthly or yearly. Older receipts may show SKEDit Max as SKEDit Business.
Update the Payment Method
Tap Update, or Fix payment if Google Play shows it. Choose another payment method or update your card, then follow the steps on the screen.
Tip: Update the Card Itself
To change the expiration date or security code of the card, open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions > Payment methods > More payment settings. Under the card, tap Edit, enter the following details, then tap Update. On a computer, sign in at payments.google.com.
What Happens Next
Once your payment method works, Google Play retries the renewal automatically. Your SKEDit Pro or Max subscription continues, and paused scheduled messages are scheduled again when the app syncs.
If the hold ended and Google Play cancelled the subscription, subscribe again in Google Play (Subscriptions > Resubscribe) or in SKEDit (☰ > Subscriptions). To avoid this next time, add a backup payment method in Google Play.
Quick Summary
In the Play Store, tap your profile picture > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, select SKEDit and tap Update. To fix the card itself, use Payment methods > More payment settings > Edit and enter the new MM, YY and CVC. Google Play retries the renewal automatically once the payment works.
