Cover problem

The problem I am having is the following. I have a Samsung Note 8 physical cover. Everytime I close the phones physical cover Skedit fails sending messages. You cannot even find the failed messages in the failed section. If I leave the physical cover open, skedit manages to send the message. What can do to change this?
