What happens if a submittal is not approved?
Followed by one person
Failure to approve any submittal result in resubmission of the contractor. It mostly denotes that the item is not of the right standards or specifications of the project. Notes will be provided by the team regarding change. Until the contractor gets it approved he or she cannot use that material or work on that piece of the work. It is important not to skip this step or neglect a rejected submittal because it may cause a serious problem such as the need of a rework or delays or even a failed inspection. This is the reason behind close examination and proper resubmission.
